Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has forwarded the names of two nominees, including his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as commissioners.
The second nominee is Hon. Balarabe Sa’idu Gani.
The two nominees are scheduled to appear before the Assembly for screening on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Assembly’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the legislature received a formal request from Governor Yusuf to screen and confirm the nominees.
Shawai said the screening would be conducted in line with the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
